El día de Martin Luther King( Martin Luther King Day)

Una de las maestras me trajo esta idea y la hicimos. Usamos papel de contrucción color café para hacer la cara. Luego el medallón lo conseguí en otro lugar en el "internet". Todos son diferentes.

One of the teacher found this idea in the Internet and we did it. We used brown construction paper for the face. I found the medallion in another site. All the faces are different.

Proyecto Literario Latino (Latino Literacy Project)

Este año la escuela comenzó un nuevo proyecto para los padres hispanos. El proyecto trata de que los padres asistan a la escuela de 8 ó 10 semanas consecutivas. Ellos tienen que leer un libro con sus hijos(a). Luego harán una página sobre un tópico. Al final de las diez semanas podrán formar un album familiar con las páginas que están haciendo semanalmente.
This year we started a new project called Latino Literacy Project. Parents are coming to school for 8 to 10 weeks. They need to read a book with their son or daughter. Then the family will do a page about a topic. At the end of 10 weeks, they will be able to put all the pages together in a family album.

Ciclo del agua (Water Circle)

Estabamos estudiando nuestros recursos naturales e hicimos el ciclo del agua. Usamos papel de construcción, estambre y papel de seda.

My students made the Water Circle using construction paper, yarn and silk paper to make the lake, sun mountains and dirt.
